Finally the radio install
Cyclic servo install
Aft servo and anti-rotation. Note the bearings in the guide !!
All cyclic’s installed and connected up :)
Tail servo hangs out the side
Scorpion HKIII-4035-500KV Gaui special will be used with a Castle ICE 160 HV ESC
Motor fitted and mesh adjust as described in the earlier section
ESC fitted nicely on the front mounting.
I contacted Steve Rogers from Castle Creations about the wiring connection for the ESC plug to the RX. (do i have to remove the red wire??)

‘Hi Mattie,
Nothing needs to be disconnected from the HV esc. Since it does not have a bec nothing to disconnect & due to the opto-isolation the red wire actually needs to be there for proper operation.
One thing I do recommend is to run the bec off 1 6s pack rather than the full 12s.
There is a proper way to wire this to keep all the negatives “true” so there are no issues & I have attached a diagram on how to do this. Just pay attention to how the negative from the esc, bec & the one 6s pack are all “in Line” & all will be good.
The diagram is shows the smaller bec but the same principal applies with the Pro
