So when I was asked if I’d like to build the New Gaui X7 by our sponsor Fast Lad Performance of course I jumped at the chance. Having never really dealt with Gaui helicopters before all this would be new to me.

As the build goes on you will see my delight at the shear quality this kit boosts :)

Lets make a start

First off the boxing is is superb and high quality

In the box is a typical style that we are now presented with

Top draw canopy and canopy sock included. (nice touch!!)

All the parts come pre-packed in sealed bags and identified to match instruction steps.

High quality carbon side frames

Three main shaft bearing blocks with carbon re-enforcement.

Three tail boom clamps which makes it simply to remove and install the boom

Front speed controller mounting.

Most of the left side frame built up. So far all fits together perfectly :)

Now the side frames are together you can see the lower frame parts where the U/C skids will mount to. Easy to replace after crash !!!

Battery tray just being installed

Frames now complete.

Note the long canopy posts here. Designed to break off and save the frames :)
